A Clinical Study of Inverted Papilloma

Abstract
Inverted papilloma of the nose and paranasal sinuses is a neoplastic growth of epithelium which inverts into the underlying stroma rather than proliferating outward from the surface. This neoplasm is unique, characterized by its capacity to
destroy
bone
by pressure erosion, its tendency to recur after incomplete removal, and its association with squamous cell carcinoma.
The experience with 36 cases of inverted papilloma seen at Department of Otolaryngology, Chungnam National University Hospital from Feb. 1986 to Nov. 1993was reviewed with respect to clinical presentation, history, radiographic findings, and
response to
various modalities of surgical procedures.
